Beautiful. Worked flawlessly. I removed all the Metro bloatware crap and now my phone uses less resources. Just wish I knew about the "no rooting patch" before I upgraded to 2.2.1 Thanks a million. For anyone queasy about doing this - don't be. Simply flawless.

1) This was only for Stock 2.2 Phones, which haven't been seen since February.

2) There is no reason for it anymore. There's a 1-click root for 2.2.1 now: http://androidforums.com/optimus-m-all-things-root/336196-1-click-root-optimus-m-gingerbreak.html

can someone post the files and info for this, i used this when i updated to 2.2.1 and it worked great now my phone got messed up and i tried the recover option in the lg tool and it updated me to 2.2.2 and i need to use this again to go back.

thanks, I seen that and its a different way then i did it before, the one im looking for was simple all i did was basically run the lg tool enter some info and done, if i have to ill go that way but i would like to use the method as before..

anyone know what im talking about lol its here somewhere i just cant find it or its been removed.

Those files were removed. And I have asked before for them, but unfortunately nobody has a copy of them

that sucks, that was by far the easiest way to downgrade i think..

if you want to downgrade to use the one click you can downgrade to 2.2.1
if you want 2.2 for another reason I am unsure where you will find the 2.2 bin.

and i believe this was the easiest way, it was like run the tool enter some info and done, no problems, i don't know why this was removed it was a perfectly good way to downgrade to 2.2 (i think it was.)
