Android newbie here. Was going to get the iphone4 last week but instead I bought my captivate last week for a test period. So far I like it. Still trying to figure out some of these mods, such as uploading non market apps on my beast. Once I get that down then I don't think i will ever look back

Welcome to Android Forums!

To get your phone to allow 3rd party apps, go to settings > applications > then check "unknown sources" and you're set.

Ya i read about that. But I think that option was taken off the Captivate...
