This is not really an app idea in itself as it has already been done but i was wondering what you guys thought. It ties in pretty well with the last few posts regarding UK train time apps!

Basically i have a couple of shortcuts on my desktop which link directly to mobile sites (eurosport, train times (national rail uk)) etc etc so that when i click them they automatically open up browser and load the site in mobile guise.

However, i was browsing on getjar (uses it when i had sony ericssons) and noticed that some clever clogs had loaded on a "flickr app" which has the logo for flickr, slots nicely into the applications toolbar etc but when clicked simply opens the flickr mobile site (as opposed to having the bookmark on your desktop).

I thought this was a really nice idea and was wondering if there was any way to implement it for other sights or bookmarks even if it involes the android SDK in some way?

Link to the afforementioned app here, hope you guys understand what i mean!
