Orientation Animation

    I thought from the videos I had seen 1.5's window/orientation animation was "snappy" with a quick rotate.

    Right now when I rotate the screen it fades, waits a good .5 sec and does nothing, then the screen gets fuzzy and dark for another .5 sec and then it rotates.

    Am I missing something?

    Nope...I think that's what the final version ofthe orientation animation is....

    I have yet to find an option to change it...

    mine only takes that long when I have a bunch of stuff open or running in the background. Otherwise it's much smoother and faster than what you describe.

    There is an app in the Android Market named "Spare Parts". This app allows you to activate what it calls "fancy rotation animation". That's the animation you're describing.
