HTC Desire running 2.1 with Sense UI.
I like to keep the orientation fixed, so I turn off 'automatically adjust orientation' in the phone's main settings. But I prefer to view web pages in landscape, so in the browser settings I choose 'landscape-only display'. This works fine for long periods, but from time to time the OS starts to ignore the browser settings and I can only view web pages in portrait. I have the impression that this happens when I install new apps.
Anyone else had problems with conflicts between OS-level and app-level settings? Is this a known issue with Eclair, and is it fixed in Froyo?
