I uninstalled an application in error, and cannot for the life of me remember what it was. I now have generic Android icons on the screen and wondered if there is anywhere in-system I can find out what they are looking for when they say "application is not installed on your phone."

It was a grouping app that had predefined categories that then opened into windows with user-assigned apps displayed.

Hi Rick and welcome to AF!

Unfortunately I don't know what app you are referring to nor do I think it is possible to find what those widgets are for. However you what they mean?

They mean you have recently uninstalled an app of which widgets that is. You can remove that if you wish by Long-pressing on the box and dragging it to the bin - just incase you did not know :)

Maybe you backed up all your apps at one time , it could be in there? :)

I can be such a dullard sometimes. I have it on backup, drinks are on me.

    Thanks!
