Root OTA 2.3.340 not working!! Help... :D

I have like 10 DX here at work all from different co-workers. We are trying to do the update on 1 of them and downloads fine then we select install goes into boot and looks like updating and then a Triange with ! point comes up and goes back to reboot and says update fails.


What should we do??

Was that phone modified. Remember, if you don't have the bloatware and some other OEM stuff it will not work. Also, why don't you all just update through the update.zip

OTA will not work if you uninstalled the apps. You should have just froze them with TIBU, defrosted them, then it would have worked.

SBF time huh?

EDIT: Did you make a nandroid of everything before uninstalling the bloat?

So you uninstalled some of the bloatware? If so you could either revert to a bloated nandroid. Or acquire the update.zip.

I found a 340update.zip file from the internet.... but could not find the instructions on how to install that... very dumb question huh!!

Well the only one I see on the TBH app is 2.3.320 which is still okay. It's not the OTA though you could SBF using the SBF in there to get 2.3.340. Not sure if there is an update.zip of 2.3.340 floating around. You need to download it and format system and then mount system in CWM recovery then you can install the zip.

I am also having trouble. I did not do anything with bloatware. However, I did modify some build properties in Droid Overclock. I read that there was a 2.2 build.prop from ROM Manager that would get back to original build.prop. Tried to install again and no luck. Reboots, picture of a box with an arrow coming out of it, screen goes black, sticks on M logo. I have tried both the update.zip and the pushed ota. Neither work. I don't know if I need to sbf and have never done it before.

Any suggestions?

I forgot to give you guys an update right.... well I had to SBF 2.3.32 and then move to 2.3.340 =)
