Just wanted to report my experience with the new update-its not good news.
My dad and I each got a new Eris last weekend with the BOGO free deal. He got the new update this morning. Result: 3 Lock ups and a bizarre "No service message".
Throughout the day the phone has locked up three times-no response to any input. The only way to fix that was to yank the battery. Once while traveling to the Louisville bball game he checked it and it was blank except for two words right in the middle stating "No Service" -cute. Yank the battery again.
He hadn't had any problems at all before the update. He says he will wait another day to see what happens before yelling at Verizon.
