IPhone-Haters With Big Paws May Love Droid X: Rich Jaroslovsky - Bloomberg
It is an opinion blog.
Yeah every person is going to say something different they arent all going to praise the phone this is like that with any phone. Just relax take a deep breath and enjoy the phone when it comes out on the 15th.
android has already made it point. its being MENTIONED next to the iphone as a close contender OR BETTER. to each their own...android is for those that think variety is the SPICE of life
Android reminds me of Firefox... open source, better in many ways, but unable to overcome the head start that the current leader has.
I just read this. IMO the review wasn't as bad as you painted it out to be. He actually seems to praise the phone a bit in some instances (as well as point out areas where he felt it could be better).
Still getting this baby next week.
Check out that mustache...clearly a Droid-hating stache.
^^ I was thinking the same thing!
I have a Droid X reserved at Best Buy (and I know I was the second one to do so).
I have a Mac and an iPad (3G)... I don't want an iPhone, even if it's on Verizon. I think the DX is freakin' SLICK, and its size might make it pretty useful. I have a Blackberry Storm now which I despise more than I could possibly describe.
I've been watching the Droid devices closely since the original one came out. I would have gotten one then but it was soon after the Storm came out, so I was locked in. Now I can finally be rid of the POS Blackberry and get a real device.
LoL .. I've been on the storm 1 AND storm 2 ... Def. looking forward to this thing!
Id actually agree with that quote...
Article seemed very favorable to the X. The meaty paw point is valid and I agree. Using the EVO or X with one hand is awkward, unless you have bigger meaty paws or Mr. Fantastic's thumbs.
One thing he did not mention:
I am surprised the display is not as nice quality as the Moto Droid's. For whatever reason, it is over-sharp to the point of causing text jaggies. Weird. Text looks better on the Inc- double weird, considering the Moto Droid's look's better than the Inc in regards to text.
Added: Nope, the review was impartial and did not bow to either device and pointed out valid issues some consumers may have. The Moto Blur comment may be off, considering whatever Droid X has, it is not the suck-like Blur on the Cliq.
Blah... I bet the X will do better than what he is expecting.
I didn't think the X was hard to do one-handed and I don't have big hands. It was real easy, and the phone didn't seem heavy either. Maybe it would be different after extended periods of time, but after holding the phone for about 20 minutes and using it one-handed for a bit, I had no issues.
don't worry. the iPhone has gotten blasted by a reviewer or two, as well.
every phone that comes out gets blasted by atleast 1 reviewer its just how it is. Dont make more out of this then what it is. I mean it is just one review there are lots of others you can watch and see how they feel
get that fool!!!
