    Hi there,
Jumped straight to Glaxo 1.61 when I got back from holiday, and now am not sure if this issue is from I7500XEFJB2 , Glaxo 1.61 or just me being lucky.

I used the market to install as many of my old apps as I could. However some like Night Clock did not apear. Not a problem, I installed them from the old .apk files. Which worked as it should.

Today however, I select the file, hit install once the Application Manager asks, then hit Install again in the Package Installer. The screen gives me a grey bar with Package Installer of about half a second, then goes straight back to the install/cancel screen.

I have removed the last half a dozen apps I had installed. (This bit worked fine.)
I have installed apps from the Market Direct, (This seems to work.)
I heve deleted every cache and run the sync command.
I have disabled the Unknown Sources and re-enabled it.
I have tried the fix package permissions from the recovery menu.

None of these seem to have had any impact on the problem. Less than 24 hours in to this set-up, so I am happy to go home / wipe and start again If I need to.

Has anyone had this? Am I best to go to stock 1.6? or should Glaxo be fine where this is concerned.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

If you're installing with an apk, can you try using ADB to do it?
When I use adb to do it, it gives a more detailed message when it fails.
