Palm to WM now Android

Was a Verizon user. Now I'm on Cricket and have been enjoying it. I thought Cricket was for noobs, but now I see its just were X Verizon users go. My Quest.. find a phone that doesn't need FUTZING to get settings to stick. I own a Zio but I can see myself wanting more horsepower with out the high price. That means buying bad ESN phones and flashing. I'm looking at the Droid X I'm sketchy about buying a phone off ebay with a bad ESN though. If i buy one local we can at least go to verizon store and verify that its not lost or stolen Any help much appreciated.

If you purchase a Verizon branded phone and want to verify the status of the ESN you can simply call Verizon, provide them the ESN and a quick explanation that you're considering purchase of it, and they should be able to tell you whether or not the ESN is valid.
