When I go to Computer---->Removable Disk E: and click on it, it asks me to insert disk. I knwo when I had my Eris I had to install some type of pack so it would register. Is that the same thing here?

Mind sharing your apparent problem and solution in case others encounter the same circumstance?

Yeah, what's your solution? I've installed the Samsung usb drivers, switched on usb debugging, toggled mass storage or media sync modes and still no luck.

What I did after plugging in the device via USB is pull down notification menu and click "USB Connected". A blue box comes up giving you the option to mount or not to mount. Press mount and after a few seconds your PC should recognize it and a window will pop up asking you to import/view pictures, etc. Hope this helps.

No need to go into USB settings. That is what I did at first.

I was aware of the notification bar bit, still no luck. XP complains that the connected device wasn't configured properly. Guess I'll try under Linux and if that doesn't go well,i might have bad hardware (cable, usb port, or phone).

Not sure how to call this since I've been flashing my HTC Wizard and assorted Blackberries without problems.

Another problem that I've seen is that it's a power-only USB cable. Are you using the one you received with the phone?

Can anybody answer this question for those of us who use Fascinate? I have searched for the driver but no luck.
