So over the last couple weeks of enjoying my Droid Incredible... I have used both the InvisibleShield and PhantomSkinz screen protectors on the phone. Below are the five reasons why I believe that PhantomSkinz is better than InvisibleShield.

    1. PhantomSkinz is cheaper. I paid $7.50 total for the PhantomSkinz, and shipping was free. InvisibleShield was $12.50 plus $2.50 for shipping.

    2. PhantomSkinz sends you 2 screen protectors, while InvisibleShield only sends you 1. Having a back up is very helpful because installation is not all that easy with both of these screen protectors.

    3. The PhantomSkinz screen protector is much thinner than the InvisibleShield. It is nearly impossible to notice the screen protector while I'm using the device, the InvisibleShield was much easier to see on the device.

    4. The PhantomSkinz screen protector is a lot less sticky than the InvisibleShield. I honestly do not think there is any difference between the PhantomSkinz screen protector and the actual screen on the phone in regards to how well your finger slides over the screen.

    5. PhantomSkinz has amazing customer service. I also installed a PhantomSkinz screen protector on my girlfriends Ipod... I botched the first installation, and then I did better on the second, but I noticed a couple of small scratcher near the bottom of the screen protector. I called PhantomSkinz customer service, and they are shipping me out two new Ipod screens free of charge!! I have not had any interactions with InvisibleShield's customer service, but most of the stuff I have read on forums say they are pretty awful/non-existent.

I did rnjoy my InvisibleShield for the small small period of time that I had it on my phone. I think that the one area it beats the PhantomSkinz protectors is in the amount of actual protection that it provides your screen. Again because it is thicker, the InvisibleShield just felt like it did a little bit more for overall scratch protection. The PhantomSkinz still does a very decent job in scratch resistance, so this should not be a deal breaker.

So if you're still considering which screen protector to get for your phone, and you are ok with using a screen protector that requires a wet install (I actually prefer it over a dry/static install). I would definitely recommend that you purchase the PhantomSkinz screen protector. :)

I'll post some pics of my phone with the PhantomSkin on it tomorrow if I can get a hold of my girlfriend's camera... I don't have any pics of my phone with the InvisibleShield on it, and I can't try to put it back on my phone because it got all stretched out and covered in crap after I removed it... If anyone else is using an InvisibleShield or a PhantomSkin on their Incredible and wants to post a pic it would be greatly appreciated.

I agree, though Zagg's customer service is fine, but you have to pay $4 to get a replacement Invisible Shield that's shipped in an envelope with a 44 cent stamp.

Check my Wrapsol post. Better than both IMO, but more expensive. Get what you pay for applies.

Did you apply the clear skin? I seen pics of the phantomskinz anti glare on a thread on XDA and it looked terrible...... here's a pic from that thread..... you can see that the picture is a little off focus by the four on screen buttons but still... [IMG]

I just put this in another thread, but if no one's bothered, I'll stick it here too:
I got a Zagg and am pretty disappointed in it. On top of that, I got in put on at Best Buy, and am disappointed in that too, as there's a piece of lint trapped in the middle and a lot of smudginess at the upper right. The Zagg does have "orange peeling" that's fairly evident from any angle except straight on. The fit on mine is not great, as there's space on one side of the trackpad and slight overhang on both sides, trapping gunk. Mine also has three horizontal scratches in the upper middle that are very noticeable. I'm thinking of contacting them to see if I can get a replacement because of the scratches. As far as tackiness, it's not always noticeable and doesn't feel any stickier than the unprotected screen.

Honestly, I have the Phantom Skinz clear protection, and it's seriously flawless. It swipes just as you would on the regular screen, and it's barely noticeable. I'll try and get a good Flip video of it to show you guys.

I do have the clear skin... I don't really know why anyone would want to get the matte skin for the screen... I totally agree that it looks awful. I thought I read in that thread (or another similar thread) that someone received a matte skin for their Incredible's screen because they ordered it by mistake. They called PhantomSkinz and had two clear protectors shipped out to them the next day... I honestly think their customer service is about as good as it gets.

Also, I hope to have a pic up of my phone with the PhantomSkin on it by tomorrow... and again if anyone is happy with their InvisibleShield they should post a pic of it on here as well.

Do you get one or two screen protectors when you order from Wrapsol? And is it wet or dry application?

Unfortunately you only get one. Their new Ultra series is supposedly a dry application and their original type is wet. I ordered the Ultra because it seems great from what I can tell. I will post my results when I get it.

Basically, Wrapsol is an expensive alternative, but they are great from the last one I had. You can also search for reviews on them and they get excellent ratings.

After trying some cheapo freebie screen guard that came with a silicone case (screen guard sucked, case is great), I ran out on my lunch break yesterday to Best Buy Mobile and got a Zagg Invisible Shield for $20.99. They offered to install it for a fee but I honestly didn't trust them to do any better than myself.

Installation was alright, reminded me of putting on the BodyGuardz I had for my old Voyager. Got all big bubbles out and after a few hours it seemed to be drying nicely, but after 24 hours I still have visible marks and things on the screen which are very annoying when a white background is used (see: web browsing). My BodyGuardz dried completely clear on my Voyager and I hardly noticed it. This InvisibleShield will bug the crap out of me.

So I just ordered the PhantomSkinz screen kit, great deal too: 2 screens with free shipping and 25% off = just $7.46! I like that if I screw up installation the first time I get a second chance.

I want to rip this InvisibleShield off right now, but I think I'll leave it on until the PhantomSkinz come. Worst part is because I bought from Best Buy, I can't take advantage of the money back guarantee! Looks like I bought a $21 screen wipe.

I had the same "white screen noise" as you did with the Zagg. It took mine a good 2-3 days for it to disappear...but it did disappear. I do have some orange peel effect going on, but I also had that with the PhantomSkinz I had on my Blackberry.

That was me, lol I ordered the full body matte skin protector, but its suppose to come with a clear screen protector. So I emailed them and they sent me a new clear screen protector, but they only sent me one. I emailed them back and they sent me another two for free!! :)

    great customer service and product.
