So after flashing to the JH2 firmware, I noticed that the battery is reaching high temperatures during voice calls - Before the firmware flash, the phone would not get above 100 degrees during a voice call. After 8 minutes on a voice call, the phone is reaching upwards of 110 degrees.

    Current applications installed:
    facebook
    launcherpro
    home switcher
    google voice
    astro
    atk
    battery watcher

I had these same apps installed with the stock firmware..

FYI - I used ODIN3 to flash the firmware

    TIA

Well these are leaked internal debug/alpha/beta development firmwares not actually meant for general consumption. They can have bugs and other issues... including very serious ones.

You reap what you sow.I know flashing your phone is something most are doing but that doesn't mean it comes without it's unique problems. Your phone is having an issue that another captivate might not have. Same product, unique hardware.
I would say unflash and return to stock and go from there.
