Not sure how to explain this, but my phone suddenly whacked out. Every time I hit home, it takes me to the far left screen (Google calendar). The phone button is unresponsive.
Now, as I type, some of the things come back, then they start whacking out again. Everything was fine until I did an automatic update of about 6 programs this afternoon.
    Any suggestions?

Same problem, seems to scroll left on me like the track sensor is stuck or soemthing. Rebooted, pulled battery, cleared cache, wiped screen :) ....can't figure it out.

Doesn't recognize my swipe to unlock screen either for the first 10 seconds when I turn on phone.

Any ideas before I do a factory reset?

I had the same problem once. It would also scroll through my icons randomly. Cleaned the heck out of my trackpad button and it cleared it up. Haven't had it since, that was probably 3 months ago.

Hrm, you can start by testing to see if the phone thinks you are touching the screen somewhere. Download and run one of the touch screen apps ( such as Multitouch Visualizer )

Make sure to wipe off the optical trackpad as well.

    Try to calibrate the touchscreen.

Yea, unfortunately thats all we have on the inc for screen calibration that I've found. It's under language and keyboard, touch input, Text Input and scroll down.

My screen just started going wonky the other day.

Same symptoms however, my screen sticks to the right.

First, thought it was my invisibleSHIELD somehow affecting the grounding of the touch screen, as I know that the Incredible's are plagued by a grounding defect. So I removed it.

That seemed to fix it for a little while but the problem came back.

I'll have to try cleaning out the track ball/sensor.

    I need some advice.

My trackpad has a mind of it's own and will randomly move once every five seconds. This is almost unbearable since it keeps moving my cursor while typing any type of message. I have tried wiping the surface of the trackpad but this doesn't seem to help.

I noticed the problem a few months ago but it seems to be getting steadily worse. I am thinking of getting a replacement but I really don't want to lose my AMOLED screen...

Do I have any other options/fixes?

After getting my phone fixed by HTC my trackpad straight up didnt work. Given this was there fault they paid for me to send it back and replaced it. Kept my phone, kept root, no wipe. You will have to pay money, but it can be done and it beats losing an AMOLED

How much did it cost? Is a faulty trackpad not covered under warranty? My phone is rooted but I could always unroot if needed.

I paid $120 for the screen to be fixed. I'm assuming the trackpad will be cheaper. Call HTC support to find out.

Has anyone a suggestion to the original topic? Last night my phone acted just like 'gocardinals.' I did clean the screen and apparently the track ball... Today it seems fine. Is it just a cleaning issue??
