I installed Froyo on my root using the following method:

Easy way to Froyo if you rooted and themed, and bootstrapped or if you just rooted. It's easy. - Droid X Rooting - AllDroid Public Board - Easy way to Froyo if you rooted and themed, and bootstrapped or if you just rooted. It's easy. - Droid X Rootin

After I was done, I had some weird things going on. So I did a data wipe and it seemed to clear ALMOST everything up. Now when I power down it sends me into clockwork recovery each time. Any ideas? Edit: And when I go to recovery I can just click reboot and it boots up, not a HUGE deal just annoying.

Also, is there a market workaround for signed apps that aren't showing up that I can install as a .zip or is that not available yet?

And last but not least, I see people renaming bloatware and all of that jazz, but what would be the method to just MOVE it to another directory, so if I need it I can just move it back. Renaming those files could be a PITA.

    Thanks!

Did you try waiting a while before rebooting? I gather that the application assumes something is wrong if you reboot within 3 to 5 minutes or something like that. I waited about 15 minutes when this was happening to me...and it fixed it.

Hey, I have the same question.

I've instaled the Clockwork for the first time.
Downloaded the latest Cynogen, and the latest gapps.

    Wiped everything.

Installed the image, reboot, installed gapps, and then reboot again.

But now I can't exit the clockwork, even if I use Reboot system now - the phone keeps rebooting in the Clockwork Recovery menu.

    Any advices for me?
I didn't understand the bootloader part of the last post.

    Thanks,
    Alex.

install the droid x bootstrapper, then hit bootstrap recovery, then you should be good.

If you installed Cyanogen on your DroidX you have bigger problems than the OP because there is no Cyanogen build for the DX...restore your full backup and reboot.

    Solved in the meantime.

The problem was with the Cynogen image. Somehow the installation would complete successfully, but it will end in an un-bootable system.

Just deleted the image from the sdcard and copied just one more time.

Thanks very much for the reply.
    Alex.
