From the comments I see here regarding Kies (which I have yet to install), I would like to repeat my plea to phone makers to stop writing software. They should concentrate on making great phones and leave software to the software experts. From the description of the 24 Samsung applets in my brand new Galaxy S, I can tell that they are a disaster. So was Nokia's PC Suite. Phone makers should at most have a few very good employees to write the drivers. All phones should interface to the outside world as a mass storage device, period. This will save them millions of dollars and at the same time generate a lot of goodwill and positive experiences.
