Help Phone will not get any reception above 2g

I have an unlocked t-mobile Sensation 4g that I am using on Rogers in Canada. When I put my SIM card in the max network reception is 2g. Is there something I can do to check this or fix it?

Hi Humpty. I responded to your intro post but I wanted to add something here.

I'm not sure your phone has the correct frequencies to work with Roger's 4G frequencies. T-Mobile's 3G/4G frequency is 1700/2100 MHz. From what I can find, Rogers works on the 850/1900 MHz frequency. If that is in fact the case, you may only be able to get 2G speeds.
