Hey, I was playing around with my Incredible today, and to my dismay I have made it so my phone does not vibrate when I receive text messages.

I looked through all the other threads and they didn't help.

I've gone through the sms settings and turned vibration "on"

I even have it in vibrate mode. that didn't work.

    regular mode. didn't work.

    Etc.

    Any ideas?

    UPDATE:

I fixed it just in case anyone else runs into this problem:

Download "sound manager" open the app, click your "menu" button and click "vibrate options"

You'll see that vibration notifications are turned off.

I had that problem when I first got my INC; I had to do a factory reset and then the vibrate option worked for my notifications.

:D I have been playing around with my Inc. for a month now trying to get the vibrate to work on text messages and emails. Thank you for your Sound Manager suggestion, now it works with all.

I just noticed after a month that my Dinc would not vibrate for text messages when it was set to vibrate.

I followed the advice from above installing Sound Manager and voila! It worked.

    Thanks!! :D

You can uninstall Sound Manager too if you'd like. That's what I did after I fixed my vibration problem.

It seems to be a bug that happens once you start using a custom ringtone or notification.
