    hey ,, I've recently downloaded the PingChat app to my HTC Desire Android phone, I heared from friends who have blackberry that it gives viruces to bb phones, I was wondering if it gives viruces to HTC Desire Andriod phone as well or is it safe?

    Yeah, I was kinda worried about that. When I saw this thing about PingChat on the Gadget Show, I thought wow, that would save me

    if you're scared, use whatsapp, but ping chat i think is ok.

    tonnes of apps require permissions that don't make sense tbh. i know that's not how it should be but meh.

    had pingchat on my phone for a good couple of months now without a problem, all except it seems to stop alerting me to new messages occasionally

    i've had pingchat ages and can report no issues at all. Dont like the actual app that much though i must say

    My friend (owns iPhone 3GS) and I (own desire) have been using Ping-Chat since a long time now. Haven't come across any virus issue so far. But there are so many others apps available: 'Whatsapp', 'LiveProfile (my favourite)'; give them a try.
