I can see two sides of this. By placing apps on the SD card you free up memory so your phone runs faster and smoother. BUT! I know that different cards read and write at different speeds. SO, in theory, you could slow down how fast your apps run by placing them on an SD card. Is this the case? Or does the card run fast enough that you are only seeing improved performance. I'd love to hear from people who have done this.

That is why they highly recommend a class 6 card (not the card that came with your phone). For now I will wait (for reasonably priced 32gb class 6 if they ever exist).

See this post - evidently the Droid is limited to class 2 speed (droid to card and back, not card to PC).

So a class 2 card is as fast as is supported now, a faster card won't help w/running apps from the SD card, but would help w/transferring data to from the sd card and your PC.
