Help Playing video in browser no longer working properly

I can't play video in any web browser suddenly. Tried the built in browser, Dolphin, Opera etc, same problem: video starts then freezes one frame. When skipping ahead video freezes at another frame. Even after downloading video files the same problem occurs. Even playing files that are on the SD card that used to play now won't play. I haven't updated the phone or done anything else.

What firmware version/ROM are you using?

And the only browser to use is Skyfire....well...the best for converting video on the fly within the browser.

Does it not work over WIFI or over 3G/H?

What type of video files have you tried to play and in what applications? (like a MP4 file in arcMedia or a AVI playing in Rockplayer)

Video over Wifi or 3G not working. Browsing works fine but video only freezes after starting. Worked fine a few weeks ago. Turned off all synchronizations and it worked for a few seconds but then same problem again.

Are you referring to skyfire?

Just updated to 2.0.49 but no change, video still freezes.

As I said I tried like all browsers I could find, skyfire doesn't work either. Tried a bunch of video players as well. The thing is that ALL of them worked a few weeks ago and now NONE of them work.

Again reset the phone and video in the web browser works for like 5 sec then freezes. After this all videos just freezes after start, youtube video files on sd card etc. WTF about to through this phone into a wall.

Have you only tried on one network? Like just your home wireless network or you talking over 3g?

Have you tried from a website like youtube and you get the same results? You get video for 1 second...then it stops and audio continues?

If that is the case...I would probably suggest downloading SEUS and installing 2.1 from scratch.

Just do a backup of your contacts (sync them) first....and reinstall Android 2.1.

Ya I'm having the same issue. It seems to work for a little after a battery pull or a fast reboot on the phone but really doesnt work any other time. I've been trying to just deal with it but I'm thinking I'm going to do a factory wipe reload orig software through SEUS and see if that helps any. If anyone has anyother ideas I'd love to hear them.

video starts and freezes, but sound carries on. You skip it and it freezes again at a new frame, and the sound carries on.

However, when i watch youtube and lower the quality of the video, the video works...is this something to do with higher quality video?

any help would be amazing!
