Playlist dropping

I have an unrooted GS2 ATT Skyrocket and I am having issues; when the battery dies or, every once in a while, when I take the SD card out my Playlists gets dumped. The playlist name is there, but no music is linked to it. I have no idea where the phone saves the playlist, but would like to back it up on my SD card. I use the stock music player on the phone and all music is located on the SD card. I'm getting frustrated by having to redo my playlists ever couple of days. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
