"playlist" for documents?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me find an app that can do the following.

I'm looking for an app that would allow me to create a "playlist" for documents...preferrably PDF documents....rather than music.

I would like to be able to have a list (like a file index) running length-wise along the left side of the screen and upon touching a specific one, that document would be displayed on the right side of the screen in a split-screen fashion.

I do not want the "index" to simply be a listing of a specific directory. I would like this "index" to be customizable like a music/video playlist.

Is there such an app available?
