I've recently got my first android phone and it's the i9000m. Earlier today, I decided to flash a custom kernel from xda. Long story short, I didn't see there are multiple galaxy S sub forums and installed one from vibrant. From what I can tell, it's a kernel for the t-mobile variant and now my USB is f-ed.

Whenever I plug in my USB, it turns the handset off. Is my phone f-ed for life?

ANY help is greatly appreciated. I really love this phone and I can't afford to buy another one.
