    My mother just bought me the incredible for my birthday. She bought it and then told me that she got it for me. So like always I did some reviews of it and it seems that it doesn't get good signal at all? Can someone please let me know how your incredible gets service? I am worried that I wont get service, Right now I have a blackberry and get almost perfect service.

    I have had mine for about two weeks now and so far so good. It hasn't had any more signal problems then any other phone i have owned.

    Service is fine, here... Give the Incredible a chance... It's named that for a reason. It beats the piss out of my old blackberry for sure. :)

    dude it smokes the BB. maybe at first it will take some getting used to but then youll be like. WOW.....

    no problems with mine. updates fixed most of that early shit.

    Signal wise my inc narrowly beats my storm2. In low signal areas the dinc rang when the BB showed low/no signal. You'll be fine. Ppl complain because they don't have as many bars, bars mean jack, making calls when another phone can't does mean something.

    Signal is fine. Even when the display shows zero bars you can still make and receive calls perfectly. I was the biggest BB lover/supporter and had one for over 4 years before I go my Eris and now I have my Incredible. That being said, I would NEVER go back to a BB again. Android blows ANY BB out of the water and then some. Anything you could do on your BB you can do on Android and some. Good luck with your new phone and welcome to the forum :)

    I think all the problems with the "signal" were just the bars were off in the software. Even if it showed 0 bars you still could make calls and everything. (As far as I know).


    On my end I get 1-2 more bars everywhere I go than I did with my LG Voyager. Great signal on my Inc :)

    Signal issues have been mostly over hyped. The issue was that the Incredible did not report its signal accurately. I have good coverage on Verizon but I never had more than 1 bar displayed. This has been "fixed" with the 2.2 update over the late summer. Yours should have 2.2 already installed.

    To check the signal, when you get it, Settings > About Phone > Network.

    you can always try and update your roaming capabilities if you have bad sig. when you get your phone so you can connect to the closet tower at home ...
    call *228 > hit 2 > wait till the programing is finished
    might help if the sig. is low where you are

    At my home, VZ beats TMO and ATT for coverage both phone and 3g. It was a factor in my choice of Android phones.

    I've noticed that if I hold it a certain way (cover up part of the top or bottom with my hands) , the signal bar drops. Still makes calls fine though.

    I must say this is the best cell phone that I've ever owned. I notice that I can make and receive calls with zero bars. The clarity is outstanding while talking on the phone and I haven't had any dropped calls. My personal belief is that you can't go wrong with this phone, however my only recommendation is to get a better battery, than the one that comes with the phone. Enjoy!

    Two years with a Storm here at the office saw numerous dropped calls. Not a single dropped call with the Incredible. Same office.. same provider. This phone absolutely rocks. You are going to be thanking your mom for months!!
