I used unrevoked3 to root my droid incredible. I was trying to use unrevoked forever also.

I got to HBOOT and picked recovery
I selected install update.zip from sd card
When it ran, I got the following error and I stopped. I don't want to brick my phone, but not sure what to do.

    The error says:
    E: Can't open /sdcard/update.zip
    No such file or directory
    Installation aborted.

I copied the update.zip file to the root of my SD card. What did I do wrong and what can I do to fix it? Or have I bricked it?

Thank you to anyone who can help me with this problem.

did you name it update.zip? if you did then rename it to update
if you name it to update.zip it will show up as update.zip.zip on your phone.

If you ran Unrevoked 3.21 you already have forever.

Boot to the bootloader and see if it says S-OFF at the top. If so you are good to go.

    Nope...

    Power off
Hold Vol- and then power for a couple of seconds untill bootloader pops up
Your there so check the top line

To exit just use vol +/- to move up and down and power to select reboot
