Now that thats out of the way here is my issue.

I got my custom tones and notifications all set up. When I get a text msg I can not make the sound stop. I will be replying to the text msg and the ringtone will just keep playing. Its making me pretty angry and I am ready to smash this thing. How do I silence the ringtone so I can reply in silence?

Or if I am browsing the net and I get a text I cant make the tone stop playing

Are you using full size mp3 files? You can shorten them with Ring Droid and then it will stop (it should anyways).

I shortened them with goldwave editor. They are all the same size files that I had on my blackberry
