I'm a brand new member to this forum, but have been following for a few weeks now. What a wonderful resource this has been! I'm new to Android and smartphones in general, but have been enjoying my new HTC Droid Eris IMMENSELY!

Before I purchased the phone, I did a little research on some of my favorite games on my iPod. My all time favorite was Peggle. I thought I heard some rumors about this game coming out soon to Android, but haven't seen much news on it since I purchased the phone (either on this forum or on the internet). I found a press release from March of 2009, which stated that Pop Cap was going to start porting their games to Android in May of 2009. It's obvious now that there have been some major delays.

I emailed the press contact for Pop Cap games who replied to my email very promptly. He stated that they have run into a few snags but should be resuming development shortly and hope to have some titles available "later this year." It's not terribly specific, but I guess it gives me something else to look forward to.

Theres a copy of Peggle on the Market Place called Peggy. Its free and only has 20 levels which arent that difficult (completed in half an hour) but still a great time killer. Looking forward to some more levels though!:)

Bejeweled 2 with Facebook integration - the only thing I ever care to actually link to Facebook, but still...

Yeeaah.... Popcap has stated on their twitter that they are developing games for android but wont say which ones. I also have no idea why it is taking so long. Sigh...

Leave Devil Alone is definitely not a replacement for PvZ. No way...

Popcap has dozens of fun games, P vz Z and Bj 2 are the better ones.

I want Peggled, myself (and the two above).

Just tried it out. It is a port, but not of the PC version. I thought it was a Flash conversion, but it has an online and offline option. Whatever it is, it is designed for PC's since the graphics seem too small for phone display presentation.

Also has adds. None the less, it is a good port and plays well on the Inc. Makes me want the official version more now :) Still want Peggle more, though.

This is how I feel about it anymore. They should really move on this. So many android users would devour any popcap game that showed up on the market right now...

Good to hear, seeing as how this thread is almost a year and a half old, it's nice to actually see a PopCap game hit the market, aside from Bejewled 2 which EA published.

I hope they eventually port Insaniquarium, I loved playing that on my old Palm devices.

    Chuzzle is on Amazon.com but...
"Note: Device and Download LimitationsChuzzle will not run on tablets or Motorola Droid devices. You must have a WiFi connection to download this file to your smartphone. The file size is almost 30MB."

Amazon.com: Chuzzle (WiFi Download): Appstore for Android
