Help popup notification on sidekick 4g

hello!
i just got a brand new sidekick 4g and i am using the stock messaging app. i like the popup notification but every time i reply through the popup, the message notification doesnt go away. i have to go in the app and the message to get the message to go away.
hope there is a fix to this. thanks!
