according to sensorly, my house is in a spot of 4g about the size of 6 houses. 4g scan on phone picks up nothing. maybe its for a clear customer and locks out phones?

Possible, but extremely unlikely. Way more likely that map is just wrong. They could hide the connection from you, but to over 6 houses is more like wifi.

Maybe it is a testing station or a internal repeater.

I've seen Clear's map to be pretty darn accurate (I can get 4g service 2 houses up the street but not while standing in my own driveway as shown on the map)....but there's no way it can be that precise nationwide. Whatever they use to determine where coverage starts and stops on their maps cannot always be trusted due to so many variables. I'd give it a bit more time or go to Clearwire's coverage map and see if the area around your house is in the 'planned' region for future expansion or not.
