Post 7-17 OTA? and no audio through earpieceGeneral

    Hey guys I literally just got a refurb eris today and when I went to make a phone call I could hear nothing through the earpiece and the person on the other end couldn't hear anything I said. This seems to be a version of the silent-call bug but this time I can hold a conversation with speakerphone and they can hear me, but when it's just through the earpiece like normal both parties get silence. Since this is a fresh refurb could someone with the OTA post their software data so I could compare it to what I have, I think I found one earlier while screwing around and it looked like it matched but now I want to double check. Any help would be appreciated.

    Just checked the thread linking the OTA and we have the same software numbers, so apparently I have the OTA and the silent call bug.

    Take a good look at your notification area. There aren't any unexplained symbols up there are there? I'm thinking if the headset shows being connected or if audio is going to a bluetooth device you would have your symptoms.

    If you call tech support, they will have you complete a factory reset. That's what I would recommend. Good luck!

    Oh and regarding the OTA 7-17 update software number. Don't go by the notice Verizon sent out. That was for the 2.1 update back in May. You are looking for 2.37.605.4.

    Yeah I went by the numbers posted here on the forum and they matched so it was up to date. And there were no symbols or anything like that saying it was somehow conneced another way. I went by the VZW store and she had the same problem on the phone so she got me a replacement since I had just gotten the phone and already done a factory reset.
