Hi there - Insurance company has just paid up for my damaged Desire and because they paid cash I now have an interesting dilemma - "What phone to buy?"

So I've dismissed the Galaxy S after much searching - as always the software has nobbled brilliant hardware, so I'm back to Desire, simple... but wait, there's a HD Desire - wow.

So - What do people think, replace my Desire for around

The Desire Z seemed to come out better than the HD in a recent review (techradar). Easily overlooked, it's actually not a bad phone from what I've read.

If you were a happy and satisfied owner of the Desire before i would personally stick with getting another Desire. I quite the look of the HD, but with it not having AMOLED and the screen which is a too large for my liking I would be giving it a wide birth.
