Like most people I know, I use a printer with a USB cable connection, no wifi.
My tablet (Sony Vaio S) has a USB port, and I'd like to be able to print docs and screen images from the tablet. But every print app that I've checked out wants wireless network or wireless printer.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can't directly print from your tablet via USB. The printer manufacturers did not build Android or iOS drivers to run their tablets.

Thanks Stiggy & chanchan. I've been trying to find a way of travelling without the weight of a laptop and I need to print stuff, but from what you say, it just isn't possible without a computer on site with the printer.

You can print without a laptop if the printer on site is WiFi capable. For example, new HP and Epson Printers can connect to the internet, and anything you email to the printer gets printed. Other printer manufactures has Android apps that can wirelessly connect the phone/tablet to the printer and print out stuff. But you cannot use cables.
