Prioritize a contacts' phone numbers

Is there a way to make my phone default to dialing a particular number in the list of a contacts numbers?

For example, I may usually call a person's cell phone, however when I open the contacts, their home number may appear by default. I would like to change that to the mobile.

can you share how you figured it out, it seems to have alluded me.

When you go in to the People app, you will see "primary" next to one of the email addresses and one of the phone numbers. You can change that by long-pressing the number you want to be the primary.
