(PRL) IS Preferred Roaming List, basically a way of telling your phone which towers to connect to first.. U CAN UPDATED IT BY DIALING *228

A PRL is a Preferred Roaming List which tells the device which towers to connect to. It can make you lose 4G due to Metro PCS taking away your 4G towers for some reason, GIVE you 4G due to Metro PCS adding 4G compatible towers to the list, enhance or slow down your speeds due to Metro PCS adding/deleting 4G towers in the list that affect you making you connect to different towers thus speeding up or slowing down your speeds. This PRL I believe is just additional tower info but also a LITTLE bit of a speed increase for some.

Screw that. People Rom and Kernel ZVD when there's threads galore telling them NOT too. Then they make threads because their shit is F'd up.

So therefore THANK YOU for this thread, otherwise I wouldn't have seen it mixed in with the other thread's garbage. :D

Look at all the "new" people that learned about the PRL because of YOUR post.

When you got people posting about phones not even related to the Esteem I say who cares if this gets posted again? :D

Moved you over to the main forum since PRLs arent root restricted.

Also I never notice any change with any PRL. I get the same signal and speed on 26 and 27 as I did on 18.
