Help problem with flyer

bought htc flyer worked fine all updates done then a few weeks ago turned it off took ages to start up.. then found i had a new freind a green pen light that stays on all the time even when pen is not in use..
contacted htc and they advised me to do a soft reset, then i did a master reset and even sent it for repair..
but it still has not got rid of the light ,now they are saying it should be on all the time and as far as they are concerned its fine..
well i was under the understanding the pen light was only supposed to come on when the pen was in use..

has anyone got the same problem or have they had trouble with this before.. or is this the norm as htc say..

it is running android version 3.2.1

any help would be great

I believe this is normal. The upgrade to HoneyComb (3.2.1) disabled the capacitive hardware buttons; the the pen-mode indicator light is always lit so that you can find the button when you need it.
