Help problem with layout handling for tablet with 138ppi 8inch and phone with 326ppi 4.5 inch

hi ,
i m having problem with layouts for tablet and phone,
here is the detail-
tablet is of 189 ppi, 8 inch and
the phone is 326 ppi and 4.5 inch.
so the app which i have developed has images in it, so on tablet the images are being fetched from drawable-mdpi and for the phone the images are being fetched from drawable-xhdpi. so the images on the tablet is small and the images on the phone are bigger, since the tablet screen size is bigger the images are very small.
how do i handle it dynamically ?
