Problem with setting up emailSupport

    Hi,

    I've just gone from the iPhone 3G to the X10 and I can't seem to set up my email account on the X10. I have all of the settings on my iPhone so I am using exactly the same settings, and it goes through all of the stages fine (eg checking incoming server settings) until I get to the end, where it comes up with an error message for checking outgoing server settings: unable to open connection to server.

    Does anybody know why this is and how I can fix it? As I said, the settings must be correct as they work on my iPhone and they are the settings I got from my mail server.

    Hello pcok. Might be worth checking with your mail server again for all settings again, I had a problem with this and had to change something when logged on to the internet webmail and also the port number was different from what I thought.

    Thanks this solved it. I had a different security setting for outgoing mail on my X10 as the iPhone couldn't use TLS apparently.
