Hi everyone,
as you can see, I'm new here but decided to sign up to see if I can get some support for the problem I've been having.
I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9505. It has TouchWiz but I changed to KitKat. I used a tutorial I found on YouTube. I have the link, but as Im new I cannot post it :/. Basically it got me to use odin to install (Is install the right word?) a .tar.md5 file called CF-Auto-Root-jftle-jftlexx-gti9505.tar.md5 . This rooted my phone and installed SuperSU. I heard that when you root your device you lose all of your data, but I didn't lose any of my data, and the root worked. I would firstly like to know if this is the right method and doesn't cause any problems.
Secondly, using ROM manager, I attempted to install CWM Recovery. It didn't work. I tried to follow tutorials, and also manually installing it using Odin. When I tried to install it using Odin, it said installation failed. In ROM Manager, I install CWM by following the instructions, when then I boot my phone into recovery mode, it just goes to Android recovery mode. Is this to do with the way I rooted it.
If someone could help with my problems I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance!
