Ok guys, here's the situation, I recently bought an unlocked Htc magic, a T-Mobile branded one, that has OS 1.6 on.

The phone has a MSN messenger app in the IM folder, however, whenever I try to sign in, i get an error saying that my phone number can't be read.

Can anyone offer any advise on this situation, I have searched this forum for help, so I apologize if this is a re-post.
    Thanx in advance.

I'm rooted on a droid running BB7.5. With it comes a IM client from the Milestone I think.

I've never been able to sign into MSN. Sometimes I'll sign in, but all contacts are offline which cannot be true.

I've never got it working with MSN

There isn't an official MSN Messenger app that I'm aware of. There's an IM app that will connect you to Messenger as well as Yahoo and AIM, but it sucks (IMO).

Most people use Ebuddy (my choice) or Nimbuzz.
