ok so up unitl not i have just been downloading free apps. today i went to buy on and it asked me to sign in to a gmail account, fair enough, so i signed in with the account that is on my phone (xxx@email.arizona.edu, my university uses gmail accounts). after i signed in it asked me if i wanted to sync a bunch of stuff, i unchecked every box, then hit sync. after it had finished that it went right back to market page with the app i wanted to buy. so i hit buy and it asked me to sign in again! it just keeps asking me to sign in, did i miss something? where do i put a credit card in?

  4. Try using the actual @gmail.com address instead of your school's. Don't know if that'll make a difference but worth a try.

Yup - pretty sure Google checkout will only work with a GMail account.

When you buy an app does it charge your VZW bill or your Google account?

I don't have any experience, but I can only imagine that if the marketplace asks you to sign in with your Google account, they'd probably charge it to that.

It charges the credit card on file with your google account.

you will need a personal google/gmail account to use it.
