Apps Query about how to get an access to an image stored in gallery. Please help.

Hi all,

I'm trying to implement an image processing program. Right now I just stored a specific image in the "res" folder of the application and read that into bitmap format. But to make this program more general, I want to find out a way to directly read a specific image that is stored in the gallery of the mobile by just providing the name of that image. Does anyone know how to do that? Thank you.
