What does pressing option 1 do?
I'm assuming option 2 updates the tower definitions around you, is that correct?
    Thanks

Option 1 activates the phone. It's already activated, so it wouldn't do much.

*Option 1 programs the phone with Mobile Directory Number, Mobile Identification Number and home SID, and also updates Preferred Roaming List.

*Option 2 updates Preferred Roaming List.

*Option 3 changes ESN in VZW billing and Switch and will program the phone with Mobile Directory Number, Mobile Identification Number and home SID, and also updates Preferred Roaming List.

No need to press 1. Just dial *22899 and you're set.

NO!!! *22899 is only to be used for data cards, it can have negative impacts on PDAs/Smartphones etc.

If you really don't want to press a number in the call dial *22890
