Ok, I have a HTC Hero that is already rooted. I rooted the phone about a year ago and haven't really messed with it since. I now want to Flash a different ROM. My problem is that when I orginally rooted my phone I did it on a laptop that I know longer have. What apps/programs do I need to d'load in order to flash a new ROM from a different laptop? It's been awhile since I've done this so any help would be appreciated. Thank You in advanced.

Go to the HTC website and download the sync manger that will have the drivers you need to mount your phone to your new PC, HTC Mobile Phone Support - HTC Hero? (Sprint) - Downloads

Just download the ROM you want, wipe and flash. I've been doing it this way with my outdated recovery and it still works just fine. I see no need to change the recovery if it's not broken. :) You also don't need the HTC sync software. Just set your phone to disk drive when you plug it into your comp, then drag and drop the ROM to it.
