I've had my phone for about a year. I received an extended battery with the purchase and have gone back and forth between the stock and extended battery.

I have noticed my extended battery has been draining incredibly fast lately so I decided to test something out. With all radios off and the phone at 100% just sitting idle it still lost nearly 12% over 5 hours.

Is this typical or is there something that could be causing this? The top 3 entries in the battery stat are Phone Idle 39%, Cell Standby 28% and Android OS 23%

    I am running AOKP 4.1.1

I have seen other threads where people mention the hyperion 3800 mah battery so I am looking in to this as an option, but just want to rule out something about my OS as being the cause.

Am I wrong to assume that this much battery drain in an idle phone is too much?

I don't actually have this device in hand, but I'd say that doesn't look too concerning.

If you want to dig further check out betterbatterystats. It can help pin down apps or other processes that are either waking the device or keeping it awake,

yeah, 12% is a little much with no radios going. i can sit idle with cell and wifi running for 5 hours with screen off and i will maybe loose a little more than that.

like the other guy suggested, i would check out B.B.S and see if you get any partial wake locks.

    BBS is a great app.

Another suggestion is a free app called GSam Battery Monitor. I've been pinpointing my battery usage on my GNex and found it w/this app plus, I'm a cheapskate

I've never actually nailed anything down with gsam. BBS seems be much more direct and useful for me.

If you are also a member at xda, there should be a free version to try, but I'd highly recommend purchasing it if you use it to support development and stay up to date with the app.
