    Hi folks,

I have a question someone with a little better understanding regarding custom roms may be able to answer.

If we 'wipe' a phone with galaxo/gaosp installed, what will be left? The original firmware (e.g. JC6), or the barebones galaxo/gaosp install, or something totally unusable?

You Will be left with loops of Samsung logo flash without booting into OS.

Just like a pc without OS which throws up stupid messages on startup.

Think of it as another advertisement spot for Samsung to remind you where you got the phone from. ;)

Interestingly when I wipe my Nexus One running Cyanogen ROM it reboots into a fresh Cyanogen install which is great. I couldn't figure my i7500 was not doing the same thing, now I know. Thank goodness for Nandroid!
