    Hi all.

now this may be solved by another app (if so, pease point in the right direction!)

I'd quite like the ability to select a contact to dial, and have the option pop up of which number to dial e.g. work, mobile or home

I tried several phonebooks, contacts, and other assorted apps, but I can't quite seem to find what I'm looking for.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks!

On my G1 the default dialer does that.

What phone are you using ?

The People application on the HTC Hero does that, of course. It lists all kinds of contact info for a contact. Are you thinking that it doesn't prompt you when you are choosing a contact from the dialer history?

Ah - I wasn't clear. I want to able to create favourites/shortcuts to each contact which then gives me the choice of number.

    Does that make more sense?

    :)

Sorry I'm slightly confused but have an idea........

Have you tried long pressing on the home screen and adding a contact widget , That way you simply click the small 1x1 widget with their contact photo {if any} on it and it should take you to the place where you can choose the numbers.

    Does this help? :)
