Read the directions of unbricking....you must convert the file, if you don't read you will fail!

i read the guide but that has nothing to do with the fact that i could not download the firmware. it would go thru the download process and when it finished it would give me that error. i eventually got it to download using internet exploder but it took till 5.am. thank you for all your help i am grateful

Oh, you're on a slow DSL connection, that's why it took forever.........

no i have a wireless n router. it only took 5 minutes to download it just took that long to download one that did not give that error message. But it all worked out finally. i just wish i could remember what up caused me to brick so i can post it so no on else has the same problem. but i am sure i will do it again and then i will know now that i have the firmware file and it is converted i am not as concerned about bricking the phone. Hey thanks again for all your help I am truly grateful talk to you soon!!!!

First download the latest USB drivers...

Updated OP with the new firmware cab
Someone try flashing that with my unbrick guide just to test it out. It may work differently than the OTA zip update...I will also explore this update to see if there's anything useful in it.

Sammy -on my stock unrooted Motion I downloaded the version d "software upgrade " which seems

to waste quite a bit of RAM and does not run quite as smoothly on Internet etc.

Could I use the above download to go back to the original software version c ?

Or might I run into problems I can't easily handle?

yes you can flash the c version back without problems. I recommend people upgrade with this thread instead of OTA updating.

Thanks- is there any way to just do it like a Software Update ?

When I went from stock 77010 c to d it was just a small file with the "upgrade" which I did and now have a less efficient phone especially the Web Browser and wasted RAM.

The software update was just a 30 or 40 meg file- possible to just reload the smaller software file ?

I think this update is for getting the phone ready for RCS & VoLTE because the week before the Attain got it they got an update

Too few details. You can get latest roaming list by updating prl, no need for software. I doubt and software update oz going to fix the crappy 4g switching to 1x all the time here.
