If you pick to use your own number can people still call you or does it just go to voicemail?

You can route all your GV calls to any other number u have configured with the GV account... All my GV calls come to my VW phone.

People can call you on your Phone's Cell and Google Voice #. Google Voice # is dependent on how you have settings on your GV Settings on the web, you can have GV do many things. I suggest you head over there from your PC, read up a little and then come back here for questions you are confused about.

It is not VOIP. So it will NOT come over via WiFi.

    Okay I am confused.

You have a Cell phone with a number and a Google Voice #.

You do not get coverage at your home/office to receive calls, so you want a way to get your Google Voice # to come in thru your internet? Quite simply NO.

However you can get/use GIZMO5 (more here : Can I use Google Voice over WiFi to trigger a call to a land-line phone (or better still a SIP VoIP phone)?? - Google Mobile Help )

If it were me, I'd get an external antenna (antenna booster) with a Yagi Antenna.
